Für den Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) hat Microsoft für die Betriebssysteme Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 und Server 2008 ein Update veröffentlicht, welches die JSON-Interoperabilität vom IE8 gemäß dem neuen ECMAScript-Standard der fünften Ausgabe verbessert.
Nach der Installation des Updates muss ggf. der PC neu gestartet werden. Das Update trägt die Nummer KB976662.
